Channels

Channels are used to post important notices to the right people in your organisation.

Think of a channel like a notice board:

  • Each board has a topic
  • Only approved people can post
  • Everyone else can read, react, and comment

Channels help keep announcements organised and easy to find.

Channels are commonly used for:

  • Software rollout updates
  • Internal announcements
  • CEO or management messages
  • Policy or process changes
  • Team-wide information

Each topic gets its own channel so messages do not get lost.

When you open Communications > Channels, the screen is split into three parts.

This shows all available channels, for example:

  • Software Rollouts
  • Solution / Partnership Opportunities
  • CEO Updates

Click a channel to see its notices.

This shows all notices for the selected channel.

Each notice shows:

  • Title
  • Author
  • Date and time
  • View count
  • Reactions and comments
  • Attachments (if included)

Unread notices are clearly marked.

When you click a notice, you see:

  • The full message
  • Attachments (videos or files)
  • Comments
  • Edit and delete options (if you are allowed)

Only users with permission can post notices.

To create a notice:

  1. Open a channel
  2. Click New notice
  3. Enter a subject
  4. Write your message using the editor
  5. Choose who can see it
  6. Add attachments if needed
  7. Click Create

You can also schedule notices for a future date.

From the channel menu, you can:

  • Create a new channel
  • Edit channel details
  • Choose who is allowed to post
  • Delete a channel (if permitted)

This helps keep communication controlled and accurate.

Channels support scheduled notices.

This allows you to:

  • Prepare announcements in advance
  • Review content before publishing
  • Publish automatically at the right time

Scheduled notices can be edited, published, or deleted before they go live.

Users can:

  • View notices
  • React to notices
  • Leave comments
  • See how many people have viewed a notice

This helps teams stay informed and engaged.

This guide explains what Channels are and how they work.

A demo video will show:

  • Creating a channel
  • Posting a notice
  • Managing visibility
  • Reviewing engagement

Both the guide and the demo follow the same flow.
