Opt In / Out
The Opt In / Out section helps you control who receives messages from Journey Management System (JMS).
Think of it like a permission list:
- People who say “Yes” can receive messages
- People who say “No” will not
This helps you stay respectful, organised, and compliant.
What you see on this screen
Section titled “What you see on this screen”When you open Communications → Opt In/Out, you’ll see:
Summary cards at the top
Section titled “Summary cards at the top”- Total Users → Everyone in the list
- Subscribed → Users currently receiving messages
- Opted In → Users who allowed communication
These give you a quick overview at a glance.
User list (main table)
Section titled “User list (main table)”Each row shows one person and their communication status:
- User → The person’s name
- Email → Where messages would be sent
- Contact Type → Client, Partner, or Franchisee
- Status
- Opted In → Can receive messages
- Opted Out → Will not receive messages
- Manage → Change their preferences
Searching and filtering
Section titled “Searching and filtering”You can quickly find people using:
- Search bar → Type a name or email
- Status filter
- All Status
- Opted In
- Opted Out
- Subscription filter
- All Subscriptions
- Subscribed
- Unsubscribed
This is helpful when your list gets big.
Managing a user’s subscriptions
Section titled “Managing a user’s subscriptions”To update someone’s preferences:
- Click Manage next to their name
- A popup opens showing their subscriptions:
- Newsletter
- Product Updates
- Marketing
- System Alerts
- Turn switches on or off
- Click Save Changes
That’s it — changes apply immediately.
