Imports

The Imports section is where data is brought into JMS in bulk.

Think of it like moving boxes into a new office — instead of carrying one item at a time, you bring many at once.

🎥 This guide matches the Imports Superdemo video.

Imports are used when you want to:

  • Add many records at once
  • Move data from another system into JMS
  • Save time instead of adding things manually

Most day-to-day users won’t use Imports often — and that’s okay.

When you open Imports, you see a list of Previous Business Imports.

This list shows:

  • Date → when the import happened
  • Imported by → who ran the import
  • Type → what was imported (for example: Businesses)
  • Import ID → a unique reference number

This helps you track what has already been imported.

🎥 In the demo, this shows how to read the imports table.

To start a new import:

  1. Open Imports from the left menu
  2. Click the Import button (top right)
  3. Choose what type of data you want to import
  4. Follow the guided steps

JMS will guide you through the process step by step.

Once an import is done:

  • The data appears in JMS (for example, under Businesses or Clients)
  • A new row is added to the Previous Business Imports list
  • The Import ID can be used for reference or support

You do not need to repeat the import unless something changes.

Imports are usually used by:

  • Administrators
  • Setup or onboarding teams
  • Users moving data from another system

If you only need to add one or two items, it’s better to add them manually instead.

Yes. Imports are tracked and logged so changes can be reviewed if needed.

This depends on your permissions and setup. If you’re unsure, contact your administrator.
