Charges Access Control
The Charges Access page is used by Super Admin users to control which roles can access charge-related features in JMS.
This page does not give a user full admin access. It only controls access to billing and charge-related areas, such as franchise and franchisee charge settings, billing views, invoices, and charge reports.
Use this page when you need to decide which user roles are allowed to work with sensitive finance and billing information.
What you see on this page
Section titled “What you see on this page”The page is divided into two main areas:
- A summary panel on the left
- A role access list on the right
Summary panel
Section titled “Summary panel”The left side explains what this section is for.
It reminds admins that this page manages access to charge-related features only.
You will also see a warning message:
This does not grant full system admin access. Only billing-specific capabilities are toggled here.
This means that turning on a role here only gives that role access to charge or billing features. It does not give them permission to manage the whole system.
Permission coverage
Section titled “Permission coverage”The Permission Coverage card shows how many roles currently have charges access enabled.
For example, if it shows 15% Roles Active, it means only a small number of available roles currently have billing access.
This helps admins quickly understand whether charge access is limited or widely available.
Role definitions
Section titled “Role definitions”The Role Definitions list shows all available roles that can be given charge-related access.
Each role row includes:
- The role name
- A short description of what that role can access
- A toggle switch to turn charges access on or off
Examples of roles include:
- Accounting
- Admin
- Admin Support
- Assistant
- CSS
- External Sales
- Franchise Manager
- Franchise Owner
- Implementation
- Internal Sales
Search roles
Section titled “Search roles”Use the Filter roles search field to quickly find a specific role.
This is useful when the list of roles is long and you do not want to scroll through every option.
Turning access on or off
Section titled “Turning access on or off”Each role has a toggle switch on the right.
When the toggle is on, that role has access to the charge-related features allowed by this page.
When the toggle is off, users with that role will not have access to those billing or charge areas.
For example:
- If Accounting is enabled, accounting users can access billing-related information.
- If Franchise Owner is disabled, franchise owners will not see the related charge access features.
- If Admin Support is disabled, admin support users will not have charge-related access unless it is turned on.
When to use this page
Section titled “When to use this page”Use Charges Access when you need to:
- Allow finance or accounting users to view billing information
- Give selected admin roles access to charge settings
- Restrict sensitive finance information from roles that do not need it
- Control who can view invoices, charge reports, and charge configuration areas
- Review which roles currently have billing access
Important note
Section titled “Important note”Only give charge access to roles that truly need it.
Charge and billing information can be sensitive, so this page helps keep financial access controlled and role-based.
